Junior championship semi final

  • Dulwich Harps 2-12
  • St Kiernan's 0-07

It wasn't to be for our juniors on Saturday as they were beaten by a well drilled and physical Dulwich side in a game where late injuries to Adrian Moyles and Ali Carney severely hampered our options on the day , couple this with an unfortunate goal conceded and the loss of a very lively Michael English after 15 minutes made a tough task even harder , the lads stuck to their guns but on the day the opposition was not found wanting , a decent year and perhaps a case of what might have been had the full compliment been available to management, some notable performances from Sean McGoldrick, The Hannon's , Eamon Scullion and Michael English , some players will join up with the senior squad now for the reminder of the season and this will keep training and competition for places very honest .

Senior championship Round 3

St Kiernan's 4-16

Thomas McCurtain's 1-04

A flattering score line in the end which does not do justice to a spirited performance from TMC in Greenford on Saturday , knowing top spot was already secured we found it tough in the opening half and struggled to get the wind to work for us but a flurry in the last ten minutes gave us a 4 point lead at the interval 0-9 to 1-02, the McCurtain's goal from the penalty spot after 2 minutes .The half time break helped us to re focus and concentrate on really going at the kick outs and this coupled with turnovers opened up plenty opportunities in the second period which saw us shoot 4-7 to the oppositions 2 points , goals from Kevin Mc (2) , Daithí and Chris Farley made the game safe , the scoring ratio will need to improve in a semi final where we will see a repeat of last years final against Fulham Irish with time and date to be confirmed .

Scorers

Kevin Mc 2-4....Daithí 1-2...Sean Tucker 0-4...Chris Farley 1-1...Kevin Henry 0-3...Jamie Gillen and Tom Waters 0-1 each

Man of the match -Sean Tucker

Reserve championship Round 3

St Kiernan's 2-12

Parnell's 1-14

A narrow victory for the reserves in a highly entertaining game played in Greenford on Saturday , it was nip and tuck throughout and a late Callum McGowan goal put some breathing space between the sides , Parnells fought back again and got two points to really put the pressure on and despite us having chances to put the game to bed two missed opportunities made it less comfortable than it needed to be , however it puts us in a great position to qualify for the semi final with one game left against TCG to come .

Scorers

Brian Rutledge 0-4..Padraig o Shea 0-4...Padraig Gaughan 1-0... Callum Mcgowan 1-0...Ogie 0-2...Jack Ryan and Eoghan Mcgarvey 0-1 each ...

Man of the match -Brian Rutledge
