Senior championship- St Kiernans 1-12 ;Fulham Irish 1-11 game abandoned .........

As is now well known our replayed semi final against Fulham Irish will be played at Mcgovern Park on Sunday 22nd at 2.00pm, we were 90 seconds from a place in the final last week when a serious injury to a Fulham player meant the game was stopped and ultimately abandoned due to the seriousness of the injury sustained, thankfully the player was later released from hospital and is on the mend, in what was a very tough game we had managed to get on top in the second half when Kevin McCarthy goaled after a lightning quick breakaway and this had pushed us 5 clear with 6 to play , however Fulham fought back and after Jack Goulding goaled we were again just a point to the good when the whistle blew , some room for improvement for sure but the two week gap has helped us to try and iron the flaws out and hopefully we can do the business at the second attempt .Best on the day were Kevin Henry , Dan McDonagh , Keith Curran and Senan o Grady .

The reserves booked their place in the championship final with a hard earned win over North London Shamrocks at Tottenhall on Saturday , despite starting very slowly we managed to gain the initiative before half time and went in a point to the good , we would not be behind again in a game that had some big hits in the second half and a second goal from Brian Rutledge half way through the second half gave us some breathing space , Shamrocks battled away despite having a man sent off and made it a nervy finish with a late goal, we await the winners of Fulham or Wandsworth this weekend to see who our opposition will be .
