We finally lost our winning run in the McAleer and Rushe Senior football championship at Ruislip on Sunday last just going down to a strong Fulham team who made amends for losing the last two finals to us , in a game that we could have nicked we just ran out of luck and in truth it was a game where we didn't quite reach the levels we know we are capable of for one reason or another , Sean Tucker got us off to a great start with a point inside the first minute but we saw ourselves down four at half time and chasing the game with Fulham able to find scores a lot easier than us and causing us issues far too easily , we re -grouped and rallied coming from 5 down to close it to two points and a great goal chance went abegging to deny us the chance of three in a row but in truth our lads know that there was more in us and we just didn't do it on the day , it was a great effort again though in 2023 getting to the latter stages and a league final so hopefully we can re group and make it back here again in 2024 , thanks to Ogie and the lads for their efforts and to every player who gave their all whether part of the match day squad or pushing lads on at training , we will winter with our thoughts and come back stronger next year .
