The club held a well attended AGM at The Claddagh Ring on Monday 11th of December where the main talking point was the stepping down of Our long standing chairperson Jerome o Shea after 38 years in the role , he was thanked for his many years of service in the position and he congratulated his successor Declan Ryan who stepped up from Vice chairperson , other roles saw Patsy Redmond continue as president, Gerry o Shea returned as secretary, Chris Byrne as treasurer ,Noel o Sullivan elected to Vice Chair , Paula Byrne to childrensofficer , Kieran Twiss was elected as health and well being officer ,Noel o Sullivan and Liam Brennan as county board delegates , Declan Ryan took on the new coaching officer role , Mick Vaughan will continue as minor board delegate with Matt Tierney and Emma Browne continuing their excellent work in the PRO Role , LGFA will hold their own AGM to elect officers in the New Year.
Outgoing senior manager Cathal og Greene was thanked for his three year term during which we secured two senior championships and a league and a new committee was formed to find the new management team for the seniors for 2024 and beyond , a fundraising committee was formed to look at new means of supporting the development and they will report back in 2024 with some new ideas .
Many other items were discussed including club trips , club calendar , Social Gaelic for Dads and lads , Respect for officials and members and plans for 2024 .
We reflected on the year we had and thanked all volunteer coaches and everyone who has helped keep the club functioning in any way .We look forward to 2024 immensely .
