Toureen Group Junior championship Final

Tara 1-14
St Kiernans 0-8

It was step too far for our homegrown juniors who went down to strong Tara side on Saturday in Mcgovern Park , competing in their second final since formation 5 years ago we had a lightning fast start and raced in to a three point lead with scores from Chris, Ali and Tommy , we held our own for the rest of the half but went in trailing by 1-04 to 0-04 after a quick counter goal from Tara , again the lads stuck to the task but Tara always seemed to hold the aces and were able to pick us off as went searching for scores , despite this our lads kept battling away and on another day would have had more joy but this was  a great learning curve and in the end there was just too much of a gap between the sides , this side will regroup though and i have no doubt we will soon go one step further ,great credit to the management team of Paul, Dave, Nigel , Barry, Emilie and Jason along with the full squad of players who gave their all this year getting to league and championship finals .
Scorers
Conor Reidy, Caolan Doyle 0-02 each
Tommy Cosgrove, Ali Carney, JP Coggins and Chris Morris 0-1 each.

Capital Concrete Senior championship

The seniors will play TCG in the semi final on Sunday next looking to qualify for our fifth final in 10 years , our last group game was an intense 2-14 to 2-14 draw against Round Towers and we required two late scores from Tom Waters and Sean Tucker to guarantee top spot in the group , indeed Round Towers were 30 seconds from topping the group   in a  topsy turvy encounter but the late equaliser meant that Fulham Irish qualified in second spot after their draw with Parnells , we showed a lot of character to find those two late scores in the circumstances and maintain our proud record of semi final qualification with 2018 being the last time we missed out on a  last four spot .

Scorers
Sean Tucker 0-06
Tom Waters 0-04
Brian Rutledge 1-1
Danny Doyle 1-0
Jamie Gillen 0-02
Kevin McCarthy 0-1

Junior B Championship

A win and  a draw sees us in to the semi final of the Junior B championship but not without drama  losing  Senan , Brian Rutledge , Ryan Kennedy and Conor Flanagan along the way to senior involvement or injury lightens our squad but the boys have dug deep to draw with Fulham Irish having conceded 1-02 in the last five minutes to get caught on the line and coming from behind against Towers yesterday with majors from Chris Byrne and Adrian Moyles to get us over the line ,  a big effort now to try and get over a tough semi final in two weeks time but this group don't lack spirit and will be tough to beat .
