A mixed weekend for the club with the seniors winning well against Thomas Mcuratins and the Juniors just going down in a spirited performance against St Anthony's .The seniors had a tough battle against a dogged home side who proved their Intermediate win was no fluke by making us work hard for long periods but a purple patch between the 18th and 30th minute of the first half gave us a cushion we never looked like surrendering , we held a 2-10 to 0-04 lead at half time thanks to 2 goals from Tom Waters (the second an expertly taken penalty to the top corner ), the second half was a dire affair with both sides drawn in to needless tussles and long periods without scoring though the home side could have made things tougher had they not missed a penalty half way through the period and some other poor shooting which cost them .All in all a satisfactory result with room for further improvement .

Our juniors were unlucky to lose their opening game against St Anthony's of Reading ,having led throughout they allowed a niggly second half to end up seeing our full back Sean McGoldrick getting a black card which cost us dearly in the end .This group is very tight with just a point or 2 separating all 4 sides to date and we have a chance to redeem ourselves next weekend against Tara when both sides will be desperate for the win , best on the day were Rhys Lennon , Barry Dowling and Michael English .
