2 tense games at Tottenhall today with the Juniors first up against Tara , both sides couldn't afford a loss having lost out in Round 1 and despite going behind several times in the game and looking all but out of it midway through the second half our Homegrown side showed true grit and a huge amount of craft to snatch a late draw with a wonder strike from Caolan Doyle earning us a share of the spoils and keeping us in the hunt for a semi final spot .we trailed by a single point 0-05 /0-04 at half time and were dealt a cruel blow when Tara goaled after what looked a clear infringement on Ciaran Healy contesting a high ball and again after getting ourselves back in to it Brendan Mulrooney pulled off a superb save only to see the rebound fall at the feet of the Tara full forward who made no mistake , Our boys kept plugging away and scores from Dowling and Healy kept us in it until Doyle stepped up in the last few minutes to smash a rocket in to the top corner and square things up .

We play Wandsworth next week with Tara playing St Anthony's and while we are still looking for results to go our way we are very much in the mix for a semi final spot.

Scorers

Our seniors took to the field after against the home side North London Shamrocks and despite having to field without Tom Waters and James Moran we managed to find a way to win against a dogged Shamrocks team who never let us get away from them , we took a 3 point lead in to half time playing with the advantage 0-07 to 0-04 but we found scores hard to come by in a second half dominated by long periods of possession and stubborn defences , Shamrocks place kicking was keeping them right with us but a crucial score from Eoin Walsh breaking the lines just about saw us over the line ,Defence was excellent today with mention to Geoff Kingston again who week after week seems to be putting in MOTM performances .

We go again next week against Tir Conaill Gaels to see who tops the group with both sides now safely through to the semi finals .

Scorers

Kenny o Connor 0-05 … Eoin Walsh 0-02 … Senan o Grady, Padraig o Shea , Mark Mulholland and David Carabine 0-01 each .
