Results this week

Senior league saw a good home win against Thomas Mcuratins , the score line doesn't do the away team any justice as they made life difficult throughout the first half but a bullet from Tom Waters and a follow up to a fumble finished to the net by Marcus Mangan gave us a comfortable 8 point half time lead , the second half was stretched which suited our breakaway football and we were able to see the game out on our terms , good debut from Oran Kerr who combined well in midfield with Sean Tucker but MOTM was Tom Waters whose high fielding at both ends of the pitch was a joy to watch , Willie Brazil returned for his first action this season and looked sharp .Defence was solid as always with little or no goal chances conceded.

Final score

St Kiernans 2-13 to Thomas McCurtain's 0-04

The reserves had a good win over St Brendans in the league on Saturday with Jack Ryan and Sean Walsh scoring high on the day, a great day for the Ryan family with Dad Declan and sons Jack and Paddy all togging out for the club , the juniors lost to Parnells on Thursday and received a walkover on Sunday from St Anthonys in Division 3 and have a home game again against Garryowen on Thursday 23rd to see out the league , the hard work will begin in earnest to prepare for the championship in four weeks .
